Mandrake Linux
Overview
Mandrake Linux (later MandrakeSoft) was originally forked from Red Hat Linux with the goal of making Linux easier to use for desktop users. It quickly became one of the most popular distributions thanks to its polished DrakX installer, excellent hardware detection, and KDE as the default desktop.
If you're new to Linux, Mandrake is one of our top recommendations.
